About Us
Our Land. Our Home. Our Harford. was formed in April 2026, when Harford County residents, alarmed by rumors of a large hyperscale data center complex being considered near their homes, came together to protect their rural community. After hearing that a nearby golf course might be targeted for a development, neighbors organized a grassroots effort to push back, motivated by concerns about industrialization, environmental impact, and preserving the character of their land. The collaboration quickly grew into a unified movement advocating for responsible land use and ultimately helped drive Harford County to ban data centers in June of 2026.
Our group is dedicated to preserving the quality of life in Harford County. This is a space for neighbors, families, and community members who care deeply about smart, responsible growth and the long‑term wellbeing of our county.
We believe development should balance economic progress with the needs of residents, protect our neighborhoods, and respect the character of our communities. Placing large‑scale projects like data centers and other industrial, energy projects in agriculturally zoned land and residential areas raises important questions about land use, infrastructure, environmental impact, and quality of life—and those conversations matter.
This group exists to share information, support thoughtful planning, and advocate for development decisions that put people first. We encourage respectful dialogue, fact‑based discussion, and civic engagement.
